Why I love Camping:
Could it be that it is the maniac my dad turns into while driving on graveled road? Or, why not the sickening enthusiasm of my parents! Maybe, just maybe, it's the thousands of mosquito bites or the variety of flora and fauna in the toilets and showers. You never quite know what it is that is crawling up your leg whilst your pissing. Or what the exact kind of fungi is, that is growing on the inside of the shower curtain. And don't you find it fun to count the insects inside your tent! Speaking of tent, I love building it up in the glistening heat. And going to bed early and not being able to sleep for hours, but being woken up by the friggin' birds who can't shut up at 4 AM. And the food. Always out of cans! Yum! Who could resist? And to think I almost forgot the hikes through knee high grass. I love how it cuts into your skin. Always surprised by what kind of animals are clinging onto you when you step into freedom. But the best thing is spending X-Mas Eve in a tent. But hey, we did stay up till quarter past 8! Didn't want to go to bed too late though. Early morning!
